About us

College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back over 55 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East. In NL, CNA has over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year.

CNA continues to have the lowest tuition fees of any post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. Why College of the North Atlantic

  • Campus: Baie Verte campus of College of the North Atlantic is located in Central Newfoundland on the Baie Verte Peninsula, and has a population of approximately 1,300 residents. Full-time credit course registration is approximately 70 students per semester.

  • Facilities: Baie Verte campus houses the Sedler Community Employment Corporation for Baie Verte, and the Advanced Education and Skills office.

  • Hands-on experience: Many of College of the North Atlantic's programs offer field opportunities where students can apply what they've learned in the classroom to the community.
