About us

College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back over 55 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East. In NL, CNA has over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year.

CNA continues to have the lowest tuition fees of any post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. CNA offers an impressive world-class, nationally accredited range of programming that meets the highest demands of industry; transferability opportunities that promote continuing education at home and abroad; research and development leadership in the community and regional innovation; and, precedent-setting international partnerships. Campus: The Ridge Road campus of College of the North Atlantic is located on the southeast part of the island in the city of St. John’s. St. John's, the historic commercial centre and capital of the province, is the largest city and has a population of approximately 173,000.

Facilities: St. John's is large enough to provide a full range of services yet small enough to provide a sense of community.

Hands-on experience: Many of College of the North Atlantic's programs offer field opportunities where students can apply what they've learned in the classroom to the community.
