North Island College (NIC) is honoured to acknowledge the traditional territories of the combined 35 First Nations of the Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwaka’wakw and Coast Salish traditions, on whose traditional and unceded territories the college’s campuses are situated.
North Island College is a comprehensive community college that focuses on student success. Location: Courtenay is a city on the east coast of Vancouver Island, in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It is the largest community and only city in the area commonly known as the Comox Valley. Students can fly to Comox Valley campus from Vancouver or Calgary or they can take a ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo and then bus to Courtenay.
